Registration Phases for Academic Year of 2025
OVERVIEW OF PHASES
For Singapore Citizen (SC) and Permanent Resident (PR) Children
Parents of Singapore Citizen (SC) and Permanent Resident (PR) children can register through the P1 Registration Portal during Phase 1 to Phase 2C Supplementary.
On the portal, you can:
- View your child’s eligible registration phases and schools from 9am on Tuesday, 2 July 2024.
- Register your child during their eligible phases, from Phase 1 to 2C Supplementary.
- Check registration outcome on results announcement days. (You will also be notified of the results through SMS.)
You need a valid Singpass with 2-Factor Authentication (Singpass2FA) to access the P1 Registration Portal.
Only one parent is required to register. In the Registration Portal, you are required to declare that you have sought consent from the other parent to register your child for P1.
In the P1 Registration Portal, you will be directed to register via an online form if:
- You have a child due for P1 registration, whose name is not shown in the portal.
- Your child is eligible for a phase or school that is not reflected in the portal.
You may need to submit supporting documents during registration. Schools may also contact you for clarification or additional documents.
For International Students
International students must register through a 2-step process prior to registration in Phase 3.
Step 1: Submit an online ‘indication of interest’ form via the MOE P1 website from 9am on Tuesday, 28 May 2024 to 4.30pm on Monday, 3 June 2024.
Step 2: MOE will notify IS applicants who have indicated their interest via email in October 2024, as to whether their child can be offered a P1 place in a primary school. If a place is offered, the parent of the child will be informed of how to register with the designated school.

| PHASE 2A For a child: (a) Whose parent or sibling is a former student of the primary school, including those who have joined the alumni association of the primary school as a member. (b) Whose parent is a member of the School Advisory or Management Committee. (c) Whose parent is a staff member of the primary school. (d) From the MOE Kindergarten under the purview of and located within the primary school. |

| PHASE 2B For a child: (a) Whose parent has joined the primary school as a parent volunteer not later than 1 July of the year before P1 registration and has given at least 40 hours of voluntary service to the school by 30 June of the year of P1 registration. (b) Whose parent is a member endorsed by the church or clan directly connected with the primary school. (c) Whose parent is endorsed as an active community leader. Note: We will reserve 20 places in each primary school for Phase 2B to ensure continued access to all primary schools. |

| PHASE 2C For a child who is not yet registered in a primary school. Note: We will reserve 40 places in each primary school for Phase 2C to ensure continued open access to all primary schools. There will be a cap on the intake of PR children in a few schools to prevent the concentration of PR children in our primary schools. |

| For International Students | PHASE 3 International students (IS) can only register for Primary 1 (P1) during Phase 3 of the P1 Registration Exercise. IS will continue to register under this phase, after all Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents have been allocated a place under the earlier phases of the P1 Registration Exercise. |

Note:
- P1 registration is not first-come, first-served. There is no special priority given to early registrants.
